Special Meetings

Tabor Church periodically holds events for bringing people together to meet in fellowship or for outreach. Here are some examples of the events that we hold:

Men’s Meeting

We meet together every other month throughout the year for fellowship or to hear a guest speaker on a topical subject.

Cameo Ladies Group

Cameo (Come And Meet Each Other) Ladies’ group meets every other month throughout the year. We enjoy a very varied programme, with events to appeal to all ages and interests. To find out more about us, click here.

Quiz and Curry Night

Quiz and Curry Night’s are held once or twice a year. We meet together in the Caerlan Community Hall near the church, and assemble into teams. The teams answer questions in the quiz, which is followed by an interlude for the curry and a 5-minute Gospel talk. This usually occurs on a Saturday evening.

Holiday Bible Club

During the Summer holidays, kids from all ages can meet together in Caerlan Hall to have fun playing games, doing crafts, painting, colouring, listening to stories and singing songs. Each year has a different theme, which is taken from the Bible. The stories, crafts and songs are all based on the overall theme. This takes places for three continuous days during either July or August.

Over 60’s Meeting

Twice a month the church organises a meeting at Gwaun Ruperra (a local Residential Home). Residents sing favourite hymns, enjoy refreshments and listen to a short talk from the Bible. This is held once on a Sunday afternoon and once each month on a Tuesday.

In addition, there is an Over 60’s prayer meeting and Bible study on two Tuesday afternoons each month, which takes place in a member’s home.

Spring and Autumn Supper

Twice a year we invite members of the congregation and visitors and neighbours to an evening supper where we enjoy a wonderful variety of food, followed by a short after-dinner talk by a guest speaker.
