Do not trust in good works (10:1-5)

- We have to be careful in what we are in zealous about
- After Paul's conversion he was still zealous for his countrymen [but in a different way]

- They sought to establish their own righteousness (example of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector)
- He knew they were without excuse
- Christ has come to end the law for us (10:4)
- It is all to do with faith in Jesus Christ
- Example of Naaman

- Gal 2:19-20
- Gal 3:10-14
- Gal 3:24-25
- Gal 4:4-5
- We are saved by faith alone!
Believe the Gospel (10:6-13)
- All about the simplicity of the Gospel message
- Do not make things difficult
- Do not try to go to heaven or the abyss
- Deut 30:11-14
- We must never complicate the gospel
- Faith alone in Christ saves (10:9)
- Heart and mind (10:9-10)
- Confess Christ (10:9-10)
