  • Everything about Christ is wonderful and we cannot fully describe Him

What should our response be?

  • Our first response should be to turn entirely to Jesus
    • Have you repented of your sin?
    • Example of Zaccheus
  • Our second response should be of service and gratitude
    • The Corinthians were washed of their sin and were now making a collection for poor Jewish believers
      • This spoke volumes to Jerusalem and Macedonia
    • The Corinthians were giving cheerfully and not of necessity
    • God loves a cheerful giver
      • v6 - there are consequences of our giving
      • God will supply our needs
      • v9 - the characteristics of someone who loves God
      • Give to the poor, particularly of the brethren
    • The generosity of others causes us to prayer and praise
