- After 5 years of going to Ogmore Vale, some observations:
- Let's not mess about with church
- Let's not go through the motions but let us really meet with God
- Let's not go to so many meetings we lose our love for God
- Let's not have professional church-goer-ism but let the word of God dwell richly in us
- When did God last speak to you?
- Let us look at Nathanael
- Example of preparing for an interview
- Nathanael is preparing to meet his Hero
- Nathanael - an Israelite indeed
- Philip says that they have found the Jesus
- Nathanael's response - "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" (v46)
- He is skeptical - reserving worship
- Jesus sees him first - "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!" (v47)
- You know where he stands
- Jesus looked into his soul and saw who He really was
- Nathanael realises he is in over his head
- Ps 130:3
- Example of stain
- Sin stains us - we will need to make an account of ourselves when we die
- Jesus sees Nathanael's sin as He looks into his soul
- However, the gospel is not for perfect peoplebr>
- Luke 5:32
- v49 - Nathanael's response!
- God still called him
- God is calling us
- Jesus sees it all
- 'I will forgive you'
- 'Peace is on offer to you'

- Our sin is no longer a reason to hide from sin but turn to God
- Let the word of God dwell in us richly
