Service Type:

Apologies for the sub-optimal audio quality

Introduction

Jesus is a great Jesus and the Saviour of the World
We are part of the worldwide Church of Christ that is growing at a phenomenal rate around the world
We are a miracle
The amazing work of Jesus
The work of Jesus is nothing compared to how amazing He is (41:00)
Jesus is amazing

Main

He is so lovingly persistent in His call to us

Example of persistence

God is more persistent that this

Example of bazaar/market in India

Preachers are to communicate the words of God

Do not come to listen to any man but to Jesus

He is talking to you if you feel hungry or dissatisfied (v1-2)

Come to church to meet with Jesus (otherwise you will be dissatisfied)
Personal example of a ‘dissatisfied’ life
Material possessions cannot satisfy

Come to Jesus

The world tries to pull you away from Jesus
Personal example: dissatisfied with life – but never with Jesus

God gives us little glimpses

 To help us worship Him

God wants to bless us

The world wants to restrict us but God wants to bless us

God’s covenant promise to us (v3)

God loves us more than His own life
Jesus died in our place

He says “come to Me”

The unsearchable riches in Jesus

He can satisfy us
If we cannot fully understand another human, how can we fully understand God?

The time is now and the invitation is to all people (v6-7)

The invitation is to the wicked and unrighteous

Sin taints and pollutes our very being
With Jesus there is no need for pretense
Jesus knows what we are like and still invites us “come to Me”

God is gracious to us

We should ask that Jesus will replace our way with His way and our thoughts with His thoughts (v8)

God is merciful to us

God is all powerful

His ways are not our ways
Trust Him and not yourself

God will make us fruitful and not fruitless (v10-13)

We will be joyful in our salvation
The reverse of the curse on the ground
Do you want to bear fruit for Him?

Come (and come back) to Jesus
