Awake

    • Make no provision for the lusts of the flesh
  • The return of Christ is closer today than it has ever been

Think

  • Your salvation is nearer now than it has ever been
    • The world has not been wrapped up
    • Still a day of grace
    • God's restraining hand
  • Every day brings the day of salvation closer
    • Is this the desire of our heart?
    • In 2018 let us keep our eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ
    • We have grown as Christians

Wake Up

  • Love - wake up
  • Wake up
    • Like a soldier - wake up
    • Stop coasting and settling down - wake up
    • Happy and satisfied - wake up
  • God is speaking to the Church
    • Wake up
    • Fight the battle
  • Stagnancy:
    • Not pleasant in God's eyes
    • Paul writing to churches to wake up - Eph 5:14, 1 Cor 15:34, 1 Thess 5:5-6
    • God gave warnings to some of the seven churches in Revelation
  • Procrastination:
    • We put off that which ought to be done
    • Consider the parable of the talents, the wise & foolish virgins
  • Signs of sleepiness – examples
    • We hold back
    • The Lord says wake up

Act

  • Act:
    • We must cast off sin
    • We must put on the armour
    • We must make no provision for lusts

    • The works of darkness

  • Put on the armour of light:
    • Put on the armour
    • Be [Spiritual] Christian soldiers

      • Walk in Him
      • Pray 
      • Read the Bible
