Today is the day of resurrection
At the communion service we are called to remember Jesus’ death

It brings a unity, friendship and love

There must be humility and an acceptance we have done wrong

Once an enemy but now a new person
We have been reconciled to God Himself through Jesus Christ who is the Mediator between God and man
Peace has been made at the cross
Restoration of a relationship?
In some ways the restoration of the perfect bond between God and Adam
Man had failed God and was at emnity with God
We need to be reconciled with God
As humans we blame others – example
Yet God provided for us
We would never be the ‘prime mover’ to reconciliation – God was the prime mover
God sent His Son into the world to reconcile us to Himself

Reconciliation is for those who believe and trust in Him
What share and fear we would feel if we had to given an account to God
We have been reconciled to the living God
